25 november 2015 : AIPA: Opening testwoning Levenslang thuis wonen
Formal opening of the test home for life long living at the Living Lab in Aalst.

Op 25 november, om 8u30 opent de Burgemeester van de stad Aalst plechtig een eerste concreet resultaat van de Proeftuin AIPA: een proefwoning voor senioren. AIPA ontstond in samenwerking met het PRoF Consortium dat daardoor ook volmondig dit initiatief blijft steunen.
De Proeftuinen zijn een initiatief van de Vlaamse Regering om een samenwerkings- en gebruikersplatform te creëren tussen bedrijven en overheden. Daarom ook dat PRoF met veel leden deelneemt in het bouwen en opvolgen van een testwoning vol met inspiratie- en renovatieideeën voor de senioren. Deze woning is een dankbare aanvulling van de vier projecten op de PRoF site in Poperinge.

22-24 sept 2015: AAL forum Ghent
The 2015 edition of the AAL forum will be in the international convention centre of Ghent, Belgium and has as main headline "Aspirations in active ageing". The PRoF consortium will not only be present at this event, but we will also host a session on Wednesday Sept. 23 (16h-17h30) with the title "From construction & concrete to valued & smart ageing".
Description of the session:
As architecture is an important consideration in promoting ambient assisted living in the home, this session focuses on an alternative approach starting from a non-stigmatic approach towards care, supported by architecture. Starting from inspiring examples, the group discussions in this session will focus on questions such as how to deal with the provision of care services considering architecture constraints and how to adapt a home for elders without decreasing its reselling value.
