PRoF4.0 - Patient Recovery room of the Future

With the concept of the recovery room of the future, the PRoF-consortium returned to the hospital environment, more specifically the short stay ward, where patients are being admitted for only one day for surgery or other short treatments.

Instead of building wards with individual rooms, the consortium was inspired by business class flight as this is also an environment where many people stay on a limited surface with maximum privacy.

The result is a new cocoon design that enables to facility 30% more patients on the same surface without loss of comfort for both patients and nurses
