On Nov. 25, the ProDoMo-house has been opened by Mr. C. D'Haese, the mayor of the city of Aalst during an event where the main partners explained their vision.
As most of us know, housing is often not adapted to the needs of the elderly. The PRoF concept rooms show innovative ideas on how to create homes that are fit to those needs. To go one step further and allow elders to experience the new concepts in real life and to get feedback from actual users, the PRoF consortium initiated the ProDomo project in the Aalst Living lab (AIPA) to build a home where elders can stay for some days. This allows them to fully experience the innovations and provide feedback to create even better product in the future.
