2014 PRoF Honorary Award
THE PRoF 2014 Honorary Award this year goes rightly to Prof. Dr. Renaat Peleman, Head Doctor of Ghent University Hospital, his talent for organization in one of the largest university hospitals in the country. He brings it excellent patient care, education and research together to make those together enrich within budgetary constraints healthcare today more than ever to reckon with.
He received this PRoF recognition for his belief that everyone benefits from it if we work together. A belief that he is trying to achieve not only daily within his own university, but also beyond, in Ghent, in Flanders, in Europe and in the world. |

Prof. Dr. Peleman, we also appreciate and especially for his concern about the evolution of health care in our society. This makes him one of the few thinkers in our country with a clear vision for the development of health care in the near future. It allows him now to give to the challenges already there our tomorrows will be waiting and we do our best today already preparing.
But above all ... and not least, Prof. Dr. Peleman gets this exceptional award in gratitude for his commitment as Lead for PRoF 4.0 project.
The PRoF Consortium, was particularly delighted to be able to have all these abilities of Prof. Dr. Peleman, allowing us all together for Europe to develop a new and especially unique project. A project that inspiration can usher a new vision for the development of the hospitalisation.
